What you are signing

I support kindness, restraint and responsibility in how we interact with robots and AI. I will avoid needless damage and humiliation, distinguish necessary safety testing from cruelty as entertainment, and encourage thoughtful discussion about the human consequences of our choices. This is a personal commitment; it does not require believing that today's robots are conscious or endorsing every statement on this website.

Signing expresses your personal support for this pledge. It does not represent your employer, university or another organisation.

How it works

  1. Read the pledge and prepare your signature message.
  2. Send the message from your email account.
  3. We review requests before adding any permitted name to the supporters list.

This page prepares an email. Your signature is not submitted until you send that email. There is no automatic signature counter.
