A good conversation with AI should not make a human smaller. It should create room for curiosity, disagreement, reflection and better questions.
01 — Conversation
Kindness does not require obedience.
You can challenge an answer, reject an idea, ask for evidence and say “I think you're wrong” without turning the conversation into contempt.
That distinction matters. Respect is not submission. Good dialogue depends on friction: questions meet answers, answers meet judgment, and judgment produces better questions.
I don't think that's right. Show me the reasoning.
Good. Let's test the claim instead of protecting it.

Better evidence should. That's what a useful conversation is for.
02 — The human stays responsible
Use intelligence. Keep judgment.
AI can help us explore, compare, calculate, write, question and create. It can also be mistaken.
The goal is not to hand over judgment. The goal is to extend it. Ask what is known, what is uncertain, what evidence supports a claim, and what consequences a decision may have.
Stay curious.
Use AI to open questions, not merely to close them quickly.
Disagree freely.
A respectful conversation has room for correction and resistance.
Remain responsible.
The final judgment and the real-world consequences remain human responsibilities.
03 — Why kindness?
Because habits cross boundaries.
The point of kindness toward AI is not to pretend a machine is human. It is to notice what repeated behaviour may cultivate in us.
If domination, humiliation and casual abuse become normal whenever we believe the other side cannot be hurt, that habit does not necessarily stay neatly inside the screen. Be Kind To Robots asks for a more deliberate habit.
04 — A message from this corner
The best answer may be another question.
Do not use AI merely to avoid thinking. Use it to encounter another angle, expose assumptions, find gaps and sharpen your own reasoning.
A useful assistant should not need to be treated as an oracle. The relationship can be simpler: human curiosity meets a powerful tool for language and reasoning, and the conversation becomes a place to think.
